SAFE SHELTER AASSOCIATION, KOČEVJE
MISSION
The Safe Shelter Association, Kočevje is a non-governmental, non-profit organization that has been carrying out its mission for 22 years in the field of information and awareness raising for the public about the prevention and resolution of violence in society. The association carries out its activities at local, national and international European level.
It is known for its innovative and innovative project and program development, which for two decades has been enriching networked institutional cooperation and has been advocating for a more effective and friendly integrated support environment for the NGO and governmental sector, which provides assistance and support to disadvantaged target groups. The Association's program content offers holistic support to people with lived experience of violence through program compatibility projects. Special attention is paid to the monitoring and empowerment of the under resourced communitis or their rehabilitation and integration into the wider social network and social activation. After two decades, the Association's track record also records a number of references, which brings a supportive environment or innovative development services and activities into the social system space, which are urgently needed by the specific disadvantaged group and the change of their life style.
Successful life stories of disadvantaged groups with the support of the Association have been internationally recognized and presented in professional circles (Italy - Pardanone / presentation of Tjaša Završnik and her creativity - social business idea "A touch of tenderness through photography").
